Large Pin Cushion
Supplies Needed:
1 yd medium weight linen
Ribbon
Embroidery design from Victorian Flowers collection

For cushion cover cut one 11"x11"
For side flanges cut 2 ea 2 1/2" x 11", and 2 ea 2 1/2" x 13 1/2"
For back cut 2 ea 13 1/2" x 14 1/2"
For insert cushion cut 2 ea 11" x 11"


Stitch embroidery design on front section of cushion cover.

Pin side flanges to center section and stitch in place.



Pin top and bottom flanges in place and stitch.



Press seams.

Make a double fold hem 1" deep on each back section.



Right sides together, pin back sections to front and stitch.



Trim corners and turn right side out.



Press and pin through seam lines as shown.



Stitch with invisible thread (monofilament thread).



To make cushion insert, cut 2 pieces linen 11"x11".



Pin together and stitch around all edges leaving a 5" opening for stuffing.



Turn right side out and press.

Lightly stuff the insert with fiberfill and hand stitch opening.



Put insert inside cushion cover and adjust corners to fit. Make a colorful bow and affix to upper left as shown in photo. Finished.
